WSJ/Marketwatch: At Her First Press Conference, Janet Yellen’s Communications Style Will Be Tested

“…Although it’s early in her term, Yellen seems to have a good way with explaining things, winning favorable comments from lawmakers in her nomination hearing, said Matt Eventoff, owner of Princeton Public Speaking, who trains executives to speak before large groups.
“She seems to be able to successfully to explain concern and the economy in a way that resonates with people who are not finance majors,” Eventoff said.
Members of Congress somehow seemed more careful about how they would be perceived in dealing with her than her predecessor, Ben Bernanke, he said.”
