About Matt
Matt Eventoff is a communication and messaging strategist.
He helps leaders succeed, organizations grow and executives gain the necessary confidence to present authentically, passionately and confidently.
He has served as a strategic advisor and high-stakes communications trainer for leading multinational organizations and brands, the U.S. Department of State, U.S. Department of Defense, internationally recognized personalities and executives from myriad industries.
Matt has trained senior executives on-site in over 90 countries, and has delivered workshops on effective communication, intercultural communication, executive presence and crisis communication on six continents.
He has prepared speakers to present at nearly every event, ranging from earnings calls and board meetings to media appearances to appearances at TED, the World Economic Forum (Davos), the United Nations, CES, the Aspen Ideas festival and before legislative bodies on four continents.
He has lectured on communication and public speaking topics at Princeton University, University of Pennsylvania, University of Texas, Notre Dame, Rice University, University of Miami School of Law and numerous other colleges and universities both in the United States and overseas.
He was previously an adjunct professor in the Rutgers University Business School Executive MBA program.
Matt was selected to participate in the State Department’s Speaker Specialist Program, and is regularly cited by leading publications and news outlets on issues related to communication.
In addition, he operates The Oratory Project, which provides free public speaking training and workshops to at-risk young adults and served as the professional advisor to the Princeton University student organization Speak with Style for a decade.
Matt is the author of Oratore: The Art of Communication, It Really Is As Simple As ABC: What Leaders Can Learn From Masterful Orators, and The Oratory Project (September 2023 release) and is the co-author of History’s Greatest Leaders and You.
Additionally, he is the author of Speak Fearlessly,a graphic novel, and the co-author of Speechless, an illustrated picture book. These are the first in a series of free children’s books aimed to help children overcome the fear of public speaking. Speak Fearlessly, Speechless and other new titles are offered for free to at-risk children and young adults in multiple languages.
Matt received his Bachelor’s degree from the University of Maryland and his Master’s degree from the University of Pennsylvania.
